7th Annual B.Y.O.P. (Bring your own Pumpkin) Town Pumpkin Carving Contest & Event ~You provide the pumpkin, we provide the tools & tables, contest & fun! 5 pm-8 pm, judging announced at 7:30 pm. Haunted 1910 Historic Jail (No-one under the age of 8 will be permitted) 7 pm-11 pm. $5 dollars per person entry fee.
Halloween Not-So-Scary Kids Zone.
7th Annual Pictures on the Porch Event, local photographer Linda Gross will be on hand for taking your Halloween Family Pictures.

Annual Ghosts of Globe Walking Tour with a unique route & new features~ Tours kick off from the Old jail on Oak Street starting at 6:30, last tour leaves at 8pm. Please wear comfortable shoes & note that not all stops are ADA compliant so please ask for special assistance at check-in if needed. $5 per person tour.

Haunted 1910 Historic Jail (No-one under the age of 8 will be permitted) 7 pm-11 pm $5 dollars per person entry fee.

At Dusk~ All Hallows Eve Feast~ A Family Event put on by the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts & the Copper Cities Community Players, costumes welcomed & encouraged! Annual Chili Cookoff.

Monday, October 31st Halloween Night…

5:30 pm -7 pm Join us for our Annual Downtown Trick-Or-Treat Event! Our local businesses line the streets in downtown to meet & greet & pass out treats! Last year our Historic District handed out candy to over 8000 children and are expecting even more this year. (Candy donations needed & accepted at the Historic Jail).

DJ Big John’s Golden Sounds will be on Broad Street with Halloween Music & Dancing! 6:30 pm Annual Historic District Costume Contest, all age groups, prizes will be awarded!

Vendor booths & Hay Rides!

Oil Painting Class by Wanda Mitchell-Tucker coming to the Center in November

Artist, Wanda Mitchell-Tucker will be teaching an oil painting class on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts at 101 N. Broad Street in Historical Downtown Globe, Arizona. The class begins at 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The cost for the class is $25.00. In this class, Wanda will teach you how to paint a canvas from start to finish.You will need to provide a 16×20 canvas, oil paints, and painting brushes. If you need a paint palette from Wanda, there is a $5.00 fee. Class size is limited and is for ages 13 and up. To register, please call the Center to register for this class at (928) 425-0884.

The Copper Cities Community Players announce their Fall Theatre Production, Show Stoppers, coming to the Center in October

The Copper Cities Community Players has announced their Fall Production details. This fall’s performance is called “Show Stoppers”, a Musical Review with broadway numbers from Chicago, Cats, Annie, Guys & Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story and more!

Performance Dates:

October 14th, 15th, 21st & 22nd

Performance Times:

October 14th, 15th, & 21st at 7pm
October 22nd (closing day matinee) at 2 pm and 7 pm

Cost:
$15.00 per person

Performances are held at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts on the third floor level at 101 N. Broad Street in Historical Downtown Globe, Arizona.

Photography Through The Eyes Of Paul And Patricia Gutsch-A One Woman/One Man Show coming to the Center November 1st

Photographers, Paul and Pat Gutsch will have a One Woman/One Man Show November 1st-30th at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts. Paul and Patricia started photographing together on their honeymoon and haven’t stopped over the 40+ years of their marriage. They have been concentrating on photography, since their retirement from their regular jobs as Pharmaceutical Chemist and Foreign Language Teacher. Landscape, nature and travel are their primary interests.Show Reception: Come meet the photographers and see the show on Saturday, November 12th from 11 am-1 pm at the Center for the Arts Gallery. Home is Where the Art is Exhibit at the Center in September/October

The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts is hosting an exhibit titled, Home is Where the Art is during the months of September and October in the Fine Arts Gallery. Our local art collectors have brought in their favorite pieces from their homes to share. In the show, we have commissioned pieces to family inherited originals. Kimberly Cason, A One Woman Show at the Center during September/October

Photographer/Jewelry Artist, Kimberly Cason will have a One Woman Show at the Center for the Arts Gallery from September 1st-October 31st. Kimberly is a resident artist at the Center for the Arts Fine Arts Gallery and has also worked to fill the Center Gift Shop with her vintage inspired necklaces, earings and bracelets. Kimberly’s Exhibit will have framed photography pieces that will be available for purchase. Among Kimberly’s many accomplishments, she also made Volunteer of the Year with the Center for the Arts for 2011 and has been recognized as one of the Center’s most valuable members.
